In 2009, Bryan Mills, ex-CIA, mobilized as a one-man army to rescue his daughter from being a prostitute. And now that army-within must be called on to save his ex-wife/Daughter's mother and protect said daughter from being taken again.

On the good side, Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace return as the family who has to deal with being kidnapped. The families of the men Bryan (Liam Neeson) killed on his first fight against them aren't very happy, so they go for him.

It's important to note this disproves any theory that actions don't have consequences in movies. I've never seen anything so realistic like this series. Even with a few adjustments, and a new location, there are a lot of similarities to the first Taken movie.

Again, the consequences thing is notable. The picture is the same as ever. No new sadistic acts of killing, but a flashback or two. Nathaniel Mechaly provides another score, adding life to a movie that could easily be dead.

It adds slightly to emotion, and keeps the movie from getting boring. The dialogue is standard, and any profanities are under the right circumstances. Before I go, I just want to say there's really no comic relief in this Taken.

There were one or two in the first one, but seriously Fox, we wanted to be entertained, not bored, depressed, or definitely not traumatized-by-over-the-top-violence. Still an excitable film, I hope round three has a few laughs, and if you really like this kind of action, or need a 90 minute time killer, Taken 2 is the film for you!
