With the success of Taken, of course there's going to be a sequel to it that tries to make it bigger like every other movie sequels do. Which I have no problem with whatsoever as long as they kept the fun like the original and make it better, but like most of the sequels, Taken 2 is not as fun as the first Taken.

Liam Neeson is just as bad*bleep* as ever, and Maggie Grace's character is more expanded which the things she do are never out of character and it's nice to see that she's not the one that gets kidnapped again.

The plot is even more simpler than the original which is basically a revenge story which is fine, but it's just more thin that way. The main villain is your everyday movie villain that really doesn't do that much here.

The action scenes are fine, but there are so many cuts that it becomes unwatchable at times. The car chases are actually really good and can get exciting. The villains are a bit stupid which makes the film not as smart as the first movie.

The villains in the first movie are not smart either, but they're not as dumb as the second movie made them out to be. There's some good moments in the beginning, heck, even some funny parts too, but when the "story" comes in, I wish there was more of it although it tries to be a good movie.

Taken 2 is a pointless sequel that shouldn't have been made, but I was never bored at it, and I'm a little glad that I watched it.
