Of course they had to change what really happened to keep the audience entertained, but that's the whole point of a movie, entertainment. This is not a documentary, this is an action film without explosions and shooting, simple battle of two great minds on opposites side of the same idea.
If you're into computers, hacking, learning about it, and amazed at what some people can do with a simple machine and a modem, then I really recommend this movie.
