Review of Takedown (2000) by Thomas E — 22 Mar 2011
A very interesting movie that delves deeply into the question; when is hacking a crime? It doesn't seem too important as to how close the movie follows the real life events. What is important, however, is the realism in the hacking techniques.
This movie is able to make the viewer question the discretion on their computer and question the concept of "Big Brother" along with technology. Whilst Takedown brings up important issues, and does it well with fine acting and a storyline that is not too predictable, it becomes a very underrated movie that should be seen more widely.
