Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Craig T — 07 Jul 2012
Despite four or five very fine moments, the film is a struggle to endure. Not because it lacks truth, vision or style, but because by centering itself around this woman during the period of her life wherein she's an emotional Pygmy, the film flounders as directionless and pedantic as she is.
The woman she is in the movie's final scene? Make a movie about her-- that's a waltz I'd take.
