Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Olly H — 16 Jul 2012

A subtle, slowly-building yet rather emotional, unpredictable tale of love, especially the complicatedness of it, the aftermath, and so on. It has a lot going for it, starting with strong performances by three leads, right mix of sensual and quirky moments, and of course the drama; the end product actually gives you something to think about regarding love and "the one", you know, unlike all those Hollywood romance film and rom-coms which are just a fairy tale after fairy tale we all know we won't get to have in the lifetime.

I think the honesty and the emotional truth portrayed and conveyed on the film it what separates itself from other flicks and I applaud Sarah Polley for doing that.
