Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Whiskey P — 31 Jul 2012
A painful film to watch, mostly because it's an unflinching portrait of a dead marriage where one knows it and the other ignores it. Of the three primary characters, the man who Williams falls for seems almost cartoonish, but that's irrelevant.
This is all Williams' story and the filmmaker at least realizes that much. New love springs eternal and, man, this film illustrates that to a heartbreaking perfection. Can you blame the bitch for falling so damn hard?
