Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Derek M — 23 Oct 2012
Take This Waltz a movie about a young women in what only seems to be a loveless marriage. Margot goes and looks for it in so many places just to get some excitement back in her life. This movie is a dramatic portray about harsh realities that some marriage go through and that its not always sunshine and rose petals. Michelle Williams and Luke Kirby play their roles really well. You can feel the yearning they have for each other but because of their moral standings they seem to do nothing about it.
Until her hubby Seth Rogan finds out and sees that their marriage also is not going anywhere soo he gives the go ahead for the wife to leave and be with her lover. The last 20mins of the film you feel your spinning and spinning that's cause the camera twirls like if they are waltzing when they finally are together.
Let me finish by saying yet again definetly not for the kiddies as there is a lot of nudity let alone adult context that is not suitable.
Seth Rogan seemed to be in love with being a chicken Chef not a chick wife magnet.
Seth should really stick to straight comedies not these soo called dramatic turns.
Moral if the story is don't always assume the grass is greener on the other side.
