Review of Take the Money and Run (1969) by Terri H — 23 Mar 2009
This is Allen's first film people, so approach with caution. Made in the swinging 60's, its all sight gags and Benny Hill style antics. Woody is great of course despite being apparently very anxious as a first time actor/writer/director.
I think only hard core fans would get anything out of it, although I'm convinced that he was the first to do a mock-umentary with this spoof of crime movies.
