Review of Take Shelter (2011) by Paul W — 01 Aug 2015
A man with some issues is prepairing for a storm. He's building a shelter for his family - his little, deaf daughter and his wife. Slowly we get to know him better, and his problems tend to increase at the same time. Lovely paced and always interesting. Well acted and all in all a very solid film.
Jeff Nichols impressed me with "Mud" and this film is just as good. Original, exciting and it builds up very nicely. Challenging and very rewarding film that are overlooked by many film lovers.
8 out of 10 tableflippers.
