Review of Take Shelter (2011) by Niki G — 30 Jun 2012
An overwhelming sense of impending doom hits our earnest protagonist, Curtis. It's so severe that at a point in the film you are actually rooting for the apocalypse and not for just a diagnosis. In a world gone mad, it's not too much further of a leap to believe that we're on the eve of destruction.
I'm rooting for you, Curtis. You bring the shotguns, and I'll bring the xanax.
