Review of Take Me Home Tonight (2011) by Seth F — 19 Jul 2011
80s set party comedy is silly and predictable and that would be OK if only it were a lot funnier. We're not only forced to sit through the cliche' "dude tries to win unobtainable girl at a a big party" story but, the same tired old jokes that were in every other movie like that.
The 80s setting has nothing to do with the story and only serves as an excuse to play classic 80s tunes on the soundtrack and have people dress in the fashion of the day. Even so, the movie still doesn't feel 80s like The classic "Wedding Singer" did so well.
Lame attempt at another Super Bad but only without the wit or daring audacity. A waste of Grace and Farris' talents.
