Riding on the coat tails of the fairly recent time travel yarn, "Hot Tub Time Machine", This film offers an interesting 80's nostalgia. It almost has a John Hughes feel to it. The good old fashioned eighties coming of age story. There is no reason for this film to have taken place in the eighties- it could have just as easily taken place today. And it would be easier to not have to re create the eighties- but as I said before, this was an attempt to ride the wave of nolstalga that "Hot Tub Time Machine" may have brought in.

Overall, there were some funny scenes and I enjoyed watching the movie- but I am glad I waited for it to come out on DVD. And I am glad I rented it.
