Review of Take Me Home Tonight (2011) by Jason L — 27 Sep 2011
This is the film Jamie Kennedy probably wishes he was able to make instead of glistening turds like Malibu's Most Wanted, but that is not to say Take Me Home Tonight isn't an awful movie on its own.
Awash in so much 1980s kitsch, it loves itself a lot more than it should. Just because Adam Sandler's The Wedding Singer bathed in the '80s successfully doesn't mean that everything that attempts to replicate the era will. It feels less fun and more forced.
Ultimately, Topher Grace should stick to the '70s and Anna Faris and Dan Fogler should try to find careers that don't involve making movies.
