Review of Take Me Home Tonight (2011) by Greg P — 06 Aug 2011
As a huge fan of the 80's, I was really looking forward to seeing Take Me Home Tonight. After watching, I was not disappointed. First off, this movie has an awesome soundtrack. The only letdown was that they used a cover of a song for their final song during the credits.
It wasn't bad necessarily but I'm just not sure why they chose to switch things up at the end. The story itself isn't very complex and is something we've seen many times before but the great things about these kinds of movies are the characters and the little gags/situations that occur throughout.
There are lots of laughs. Dan Fogler is really funny as always and has some great lines. Topher Grace is pretty likeable and easy to root for. Anna Faris brings her usual comedic wit and she looks great.
Teresa Palmer looks gorgeous and also a very likeable character. All in all, I say this is a quality movie and you should check it out.
