Review of Tabloid (2011) by Gordon B — 05 Sep 2011
Errol Morris is back to his playful, inventive ways with Tabloid. Audience sympathy with his subject Joyce McKinney will swing wildly as she runs the gammut from predator to victim, free sprit, lonely soul and absolute nutcase.
The only constant is how fascinating she is. As always, Morris steps back and offers no judgement (although his graphics and titles clearly indicate he's keeping a light-hearted outlook), letting those in front of the camera enjoy their moment in the spotlight.
Hilarious.
