Review of T2 Trainspotting (2017) by Ryan J — 29 Jan 2017
In the sequel to one of Britain's most iconic films, Boyle and co. return to produce a fitting reprise of the cult classic, albeit one heavily steeped in nostalgia without much forward motion. It's great to meet these characters again, especially the rather insane Begbie, and it's typically stylish and dark.
I don't think the scatterbrain approach here is particularly effective to be honest, and the movie is moving all over the place. Still, an entertaining return. 6.5/10.
