Review of Syriana (2005) by Ariel A — 08 Jun 2010
Some people I know tells me they don't get this movie, that it's way too complicated and has a convoluted plot. Fear not: this is not the case. At least, I don't see it that way -- plus, if *I* understood the movie, anyone else can.
You get chubby Clooney doing his best, Damon and Wright delivering their -usual- goods, plus good performances by Tim Blake Nelson (when is he half bad on screen?), Plummer, Hurt and a few others -- in what is definitely a strong cast.
So, yeah, it might be a little dense but it's never too complicated to see where it's going (and coming from). But don't watch it if you have a headache.
