Review of Syriana (2005) by Hannah K — 27 Dec 2008
After all the hype, I expected more from this movie than I got. In the end, there's not nearly enough pay-off to justify all the work you do trying to follow what's going on. Fabulous acting aside, the themes are nothing new and (sadly) even the potentially shocking reveals about corruption on all sides just seem like the sad reality of the world rather than something mind-blowing.
