Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Sargunan I — 18 Apr 2010
I think this is both a masterpiece and a drag - the latter being the reason why it'll probably never be considered a classic by the man-on-the-street...this movie almost consumes you with its multiple actors playing characters and the transition of time alternating between supersonic and a slug's sprint.
.Hoffman gave the performance of his life and that's truly the highlight of this film - brilliant acting...Sorry Charlie, you overdid it with this first effort at direction...
