Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Simon D — 19 Dec 2013
Once you realise that you are not going to get all the answers you crave and you can simply sit back and be entertained and confused, then you realise that this is a very good, original, film. To call this quirky would not do it justice, the film is a series of quirks.
It's dream-like in the way that the scenes don't make sense, they don't need to, as nothing really does. It's totally open to interpretation and debate, and i'm now going to read up on others interpretations to see how wildly different to my own they are bound to be.
