Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Willie J — 22 Feb 2014
Very rarely can a movie with this much ambition execute with clarity and a wonderful sense of art. I could go on and on about the cast, but they aren't the core of the film. It is Charlie Kaufman's beautiful writing and excellent direction that puts this movie among the greatest of all-time.
There are so many ideas, themes, and questions in this movie, it is impossible not to appreciate the depth in which it tries to reach into our minds.
