Review of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) by Selva K — 13 Dec 2009
The first installment of the 'Vengeance' Trilogy. A clean, potentially, very disturbing plot. The violence is overwhelming and given the plot, its understood that it badly needs that. Even the slow and calm sequences manage to retain the thrill. That thrill can be felt all over the flick. May be, this could be the director's victory. The movie is filled with instances that enthrall you. Given the length of the movie, it just might make you little restless. But it just passes on with a steady screenplay, that's well written and analyzed, and some artistical cinematographic works adds to the credit.
Overall, the movie is well-narrated, brave and visually stunning.
Bottomline: what a way to start things off....!!
