Review of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) by Steff A — 05 Jun 2013
This is the worst of the revenge trilogy and not "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" as I've written in my review for it. Plot holes aside this could have been very good. But that's plot holes aside.
Park Chan Wook as always creates a stylish picture and here he is very careful about what to show us and what to imply. That's a nice touch. But as the movie progresses and ends it turns into a triple revenge story.
It is really too much, not from a violence standpoint, just story wise. At least everyone dies in the end. Oops! Spoiler alert. Hee hee hee.
