Review of Sydney White (2007) by Ambir M — 06 Feb 2013
Entertaining in some parts, completely embarrassing in others; why people don't want to challenge younger audiences anymore is beyond me. Force feeding them cheesy films with a side of corn, and an adaptation of a classic story Snow White no less.
The population is being dumbed down by movies like this and the cinema going audience is letting this happen by accepting movies like this as the norm and the best that we can expect to be given. It's alright to watch a fluff movie and enjoy how stupid, funny, light hearted or whatever it is, but when this is all that is on offer; more and more of this genre directed at young people it's pretty pathetic.
Even Bynes' comedic streak can't save this film and it's one of her wost performances.
