Review of Swordfish (2001) by Moore S — 10 Nov 2011
This is not a bad action film of the transitional period between the mega-violent 90's and twist-end 00's. Therefore, it really outlines those two periods really well. You have this Con-Air-ish type of action plus a lot of smoking, useless flat characters and disposable scenes and you have bunch of famous actors, twish end (somewhat) and Fast and Furious feeling for the first half of the movie.
For the most part I saw John Travolta's character as someone who could be played by Gary Oldman, but it would be too similar to Zorg in the Fifth Element. Koodos for topless Halle Berry. I finally start getting why she was such a phenomenon 10 years ago.
Even though this is kind of a cliche movie and it was all ok-ish. I still liked it, cos' of the cast and it didn't really get boring much.
