Review of Swordfish (2001) by Justin O — 30 Oct 2012
A really great idea for a film. John Travolta stars as some sort of super shifty terrorist that works off the grid, he uses hackers to take money from numerous different bank accounts. He fits the role perfectly. The performance is the kind of character that he plays in Pulp Fiction only more clever and witty with great ideas for scaring the wits out of innocent bystanders. The film plays out really well and one or two of the effects are dazzling, there is one scene that involves human claymores filled with ball barings that is a personal highlight. All in all really entertaining and far out. A great film for escaping from reality.
