Review of Switchblade Sisters (1975) by Richard D — 20 Jun 2009
This is great fun, a really good B-film by cult maestro Jack Hill. although its classic exploitational material (gratuitous breast shots: check; girl-on-girl fighting: check; flicknives: check; black panthers: check), there is a real heart to it, and the film is expertly made. The film also has political points (although well-disguised) about revolution and collectivism.
Great soundtrack, too. Now, can we get that ugly big-headed freak off the packaging, and the bullshit 'Rolling Thunder Presents' removed from the credits?
