Review of Swingers (2009) by Stuart A — 14 Jun 2008
Quite simply, one of the greatest films ever made. Watched it countless times and it gets better with every viewing. So many themes within it that reflect various aspects of my social life, although that probably isn't a good thing.
Anyways, I've been at my lowest ebb all week and this was the exact tonic required to cheer me up a notch or two. The film contains so much quotable dialogue I couldn't possibly pick highlights.
Quite suimply, it is a masterpiece. Also, it spawned Favreau. Favreau = Elf = Genius! Also, it spawned Vince Vaughn who, regardless of the shittiness of the films in which he appears, is never anything less than comedic gold.
Swingers also features Ron Livingston, a criminally under-valued favourite of mine. I'll cut to the knub, I love this film and all the characters / scenarios within it.
