Review of Swingers (2009) by Susan H — 11 Oct 2008
Awesome bromance. Knowing that it was based on Jon Favreau's own experience after breaking up with his long-time girlfriend and moving to LA, while Vince Vaughan and Ron Livingston attempted to cheer him up, gives this film an added touch of realism.
Also filmed almost like a fly-on-the-wall documentary at times by Doug Liman (of Bourne Identity fame), and the wonderful dialogue (screenplay written by Favreau) is a joy in itself. Full of movie references, and of course the now well-known catchphrase, "He's/You're so money".
Is it strange that I teared up everytime Mikey's friends told him, "You're so money, and you don't even know it"?
