Review of Swingers (2009) by John B — 07 Feb 2010
When I saw this film, I wasn't sure what it was, or why it is so popular, and I still really do not know. It feels short, it doesn't possess any interesting characters, and nothing in it made me laugh.
I thought that maybe this was the 90's version of Apatow films, but there's nothing outrageous or ridiculous about it. This is an average film about two guys going to Vegas, one being a player and the other distraught about a recent breakup.
I have yet to be enlightened as to why this is special.
