Review of Swingers (1996) by Drab D — 10 Mar 2009
Swingers entertains on every level because of the pure comic genius and its relatability. Vince Vaughn shines as the smooth talking, ladies man who tries to cheer up his friend, but Jon Favreau is incredible as the depressed break up victim, who still is coping with a long term relationship.
The comedy is slick and smart, and the directing is great. I enjoyed the hand held camera cinematography that helps the audience connect with these guys. The best thing in the film is the parody scene, which should make Tarantino and the Reservoir Dogs proud.
