Review of Swingers (1996) by Jonatthan E — 18 Jun 2011
Pure comedic genius, and the fact that the funny bits serve as a better representation of this generation than current comedy films, just goes to show how ahead of its time Swingers is from a writing standpoint (kudos to Jon Favreau).
This movie is the truest representation of men, in their era and place, I've ever seen done on the big screen. It is not only a realistic interpretation of male 20-somethings at the turn of the 21st century, but also focuses specifically on what drives them, hinders them, and how they love.
