Review of Swingers (1996) by P. P — 27 Jun 2014
I enjoyed Chef recently so I thought I'd revisit one of my favourite trifles from the 1990s, Swingers. Favreau's comedy is the most successful since Diner of what could be described as a cycle of "walking and talking" and "hanging out" pictures.
" The script is delightful. Favreau is a master at writing comic dialogue and he captures realistically the nature of male friendship/camaraderie. Favreau's movies may have flaws but have a joyous, life affirming spirit that is infectious and we all need that now and again.
