It's kinda funny for a while when it's just trying to be a comedy for political junkies and the characters are written as such. Unfortunately, it goes bad in the last 20 minutes, when all of a sudden, it tries to be serious.
Instead it becomes cliche, boring, and really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Things that are funny in the comedy environment like the 12-year-old girl having the political knowledge of a college poli-sci teacher become annoying and we're supposed to care about characters who have been written as slovenly/unethical goofs.
Just some terrible, uninspired writing for the end of the movie.
