Review of Swing Vote (2008) by Jami L — 05 Aug 2009

I liked this movie, although it wasn't really what I expected. With all the big names in this cast, I guess I was just hoping for something a little more from this film. Although I have read mixed reviews about it.

I know a lot of guys like Bud Johnson, so that honest portrayal by Kevin Costner was nice to see. Someone admitting they really don't know what's going on with the state of this country but knowing that they should pay more attention. I really enjoyed Madeline Carroll as Molly. She was cute, and smart and her and Mr. Costner had great father daughter chemistry on screen. I do like Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, and Nathan Lane but for whatever reason Dennis Hopper has always disturbed me a tad.

I do wish they would have ended the movie differently but, I understand why it was done the way it was.
