"Swing Vote" may have been completely unrealistic, and kind of stupid, but there were a few entertaining moments here and there. But besides that, this movie came off as nothing special.

So the United States is in a stale mate and Kevin Costner has to cast his vote to determine who the next president of our country is. That's basically the movie. Oh, and his daughter is like really sophisticated and smart even though her parents are screw ups, and she's the one who ultimately makes all the calls for him. Interesting premise, kind of intriguing, but it could have been executed much better.

Yeah, so like I was saying, this film had a few sweet moments, but there were a lot of things that I didn't really like about it. First of all, Kevin Costner, up until the end of the movie, was pretty bad. I don't think he really cared, so his poor acting brought down the movie a lot. This, mixed in with a lot of horrible jokes, didn't really help the situation at all. What saved the day was Madeline Carroll. I thought she was very good, and interesting to listen to. The scene where she cries is pretty hard to take, so she did a very good job with this movie. Everyone else was ehh, nothing special here.

Anyway, like I said before the execution could have been a lot better. I thought that sometimes the movie made a lot of mistakes with climaxes, and emotional scenes. What's with the kids driving all over this movie? What the hell was that about? Anyway...Costner remains the same emotionally, whether he's upset or happy. I can't really tell the difference with him in this flick. Everything just seemed a little awkward in this department, I don't know...

Before watching this movie, you knew everything that was going to happen. I predicted a lot of stuff that was going to happen in this movie, because it's a highly predictable film, but that doesn't mean that it didn't keep me entertained at certain points. "Swing Vote" was a little intriguing, and it kept me awake, but overall with a lot of poor execution, this movie comes off at being ehh, but there really wasn't much room to make an amazing movie in the first place.
