Review of Swing Vote (2008) by Stacy G — 18 Jul 2009
Judge Reinhold, Nathan Lane and George Lopez. Who thought this would be a good idea? The concept is solid, but the fatal flaw is costner's character. He is not likable at any point. He is borderline retarded and shouldn't be trusted with a child, but are supposed to find him to be the "lovable loser".
There were a lot of potentially good things in the movie, but it just never hit its mark. The best part is the voice of reason that started the third act: Bill Maher.
