Review of Swing Vote (2008) by Mark N — 30 Aug 2009

I rented this to make up my 4 movies for the £10 special offer at Blockbusters and I was pleasantly surprised with it as I wasn't really expecting that much from this film. Basically the last vote to determine who will be the president lays firmly on a no hoper who drinks too much and doesn't care about anything other than his daughter and even then, this isn't shown all that much as his daughter played by Madeline Carroll (excellent young actress) tends to look after him (Kevin Costner) more than he looks after her! For 10 days there on, the character of Kevin Costner is taking on a roller coaster ride while the current defending president and the president wanna-be try to swing his vote in their favour! Good family entertainment.
