Review of Swing Kids (1993) by Dave C — 26 Feb 2008
It's a great movie with a strong, memorable story and wonderful performances. This movie looks at a specific time in history during the outset of WW2 and Hitler's mark on the world. It may seem distant to us now, but the political and social elements remain relevant today.
And this film remains as a strong example of good film making. Examining how the love of music and the ability to enjoy the passionate joys of life becomes threatened in attempts to dictate and control in the name of power, Swing Kids will have you swaying to the tune of it's story.
