While showcasing one of Kevin Spacey's greatest performances this film really does nothing else. The protagonist is rather annoying and unlikable and boring and dosen't say anything really new about the culture of Hollywood and all the characters are rather one dimensional and makes everyone look like idiotic, self indulgent jerks and really this idea was done much better in the Player.
