Review of Swimming Upstream (2003) by Val ' — 12 Jul 2005
DVD First Viewing, 1 Mulcahy film seen.
Swimming Upstream is painfully mediocre. Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis are fine performers, but director Russell Mulcahy keeps them grounded. The supporting performances are too bland and the screenplay is too empty to have any lasting effect on its audience.
