The two lead female roles that Rampling and Sagnier play in this film are probably the two most engaging performances I have ever seen of uptight Englishness and the l'amour ways of the French. Superb film, wonderful location, scene selection.
Reflections on the surface of the pool...... hmmm. Lovely.
