Review of Swimming Pool (2003) by Skyler W — 25 Nov 2008
First of all, having Ludivine Sagnier, one of my favorite actresses, involved is already a big plus for me, second of all, opposite Charlotte Rampling, it's almost certain it's gonna be epic. Swimming Pool is one of those movies that challenge the audience to think outside the box, to think deeply, yet simply.
It remained a flat, dark, mysterious, and almost boring-at-times style. And it really made me feel stupid when I saw the ending, because I feel like I was tricked into involving my emotions with fictional characters, fictional as in.
...well you will see.
