The film lacks something of the original Wertmuller film (Mariangela Melato), though it mostly stays faithful to the plot. The spaghetti scene should be on the cutting room floor while the rehashed ending and a few other added beats resolve some of the awkwardness of the original.
.. at the expense of a little comedy.
