Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one, and my asshole would just like to say, "I absolutely adored Swept Away!". There was just something about it I fell for, which I can't place.
I guess it just all worked for me. I feel Madonna did her best and it really shows. I've seen many of the absolute worst performances in countless horrible films, but Madonna as Amber is not one of them.
Don't listen to overrated critics who shit on this film before it was even made, try watching it for yourself and develop your own opinion. If you don't like it, move on.
