Review of Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song (1971) by Jesse F — 17 Jul 2007

I really don't know if most of the movie was creative choices, or just mistakes. The plot is very difficult to follow, most of the time I wanted to know wtf was going on, and the music was poorly done.

The trumpet sounded so out of sync with the rest of the song in the main theme. Now, I realize that this is an important film in history and everything, and for that it gets an extra two stars. Sadly, other than its historical importance, it's pretty much just a piece of crap.
