There was nothing else like it at the time, with its sharp, witty, cynical dialogue, and with seedy and shady characters drifting in and out of the gossip world. Tony Curtis plays a press agent looking for the stories and setups.
Burt Lancaster plays the columnist who prints the gossip. But when a jazz musician in love with the columnists' sister gets into the picture, the tables are get turned the other way....
