Review of Sweet Smell of Success (1957) by Alex S — 02 Dec 2010
Nasty, throw you under the bus, and greedy pretty much sum up Tony Curtis and Burt Lancaster in SSOS. I was truly surprised at some of the techniques portrayed by the characters in this classic "I want it all" drama.
Burt Lancaster has some great one-liners throughout and Tony Curtis is the "don't read a book by its cover" press agent wanting the limelight.
The dialogue and intrigue keep you tuned in throughout and the amazing greed leads to a few great moments and general coniving; fun to follow.
