Goes places I don't think any other film ever has gone before. Makavejev's surrealism goes far past what Bunuel ever could've fathomed, incorporating every ounce of counter-culture imaginable, obscenity, depravity, and mild pornography.
I wouldn't dare call it great, but I'd congratulate Makavejev on pushing the envelope to the extreme while still managing some form of entertainment out of the mess.
